Role:

The Business Administration Support - Apprentice is responsible for assisting the Quality Assurance Manager and Administrator to promote timely responses and resolutions in the delivery of all administration tasks, including the provision of a professional Reception Service.
The Administration Support - Apprentice is also responsible for assisting the Quality Assurance Manager / Facilities Officer in supporting the Facilities Management function.

The Administration Support - Apprentice is additionally responsible for supporting the Management Team by ensuring all administration and clerical tasks are undertaken in line with Company procedures, and to Quality Assurance standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Undertaking all aspects of business administration.
• Provide general support within the team including answering the telephone, taking messages, dealing with enquiries, photocopying, maintaining stationery supplies and filing.
• Liaising with Customers and Suppliers in order to assist Production and QA departments.
• To assist with the clerical/administrative duties using where appropriate, computer based systems to support the business needs.
• Inputting data to basic spreadsheet and recording systems.
• To ensure that any necessary clerical and administrative processes, which support the company. activities are carried out effectively in order to help the team meet its objectives.
• Be willing and flexible to assist with general duties to ensure the efficient running of the office.

20/04/2018 - Senior Inspector/ CMM Programmer

Role:

The Senior Inspector / CMM Programmer is responsible for operating and programming Mitutoyo CMM and inspection of all finished machined parts against the design intent. Additionally the Senior Inspector / CMM Programmer is responsible for ensuring that products meet customer specifications and that production batch quantities are maintained. Senior Inspector / CMM Programmer is to act as the prime customer interface for all Inspection activities, whilst ensuring close liaison with the Production Team in order to promote timely responses and resolutions to changes and issues.

Key Responsibilities:
• Writing detailed CMM programs to verify machined components to required specifications.
• Create short programs for small complex parts.
• Programming and Operating Mitutoyo CMM machine and recording of results.
• Read, interpret and understand Engineering drawings, standards, geometrical tolerances and surface finishes.
• Ensure that there are detailed Inspection Plans for all parts and that such plans are issue controlled; this includes CMM programs.
• To carry out First Article/First Off inspection for components that require going through the CMM.
• Conduct Stage inspections of detailed machined components.
• Using Measuring equipment to establish the specification of sizes, cylindricity and concentricity.
• Conduct and record routine inspection on production parts using CMM, projectors, micrometers, Vernier gauges, dial gauges and more.
• Interpreting the results obtained and convey the results to the Production team.
• Carrying out random Patrol Inspections.
• Confident decision-making to sign off parts.
• Carrying out inspections on time and in line with manufacturing process.
• Working closely with Production to ensure that quantities are met.
• Assist investigations into Non-Conformance Reports (NCR), Corrective Action Reports (CARs) and customer complaints.
• Ensure that all inspection equipment, including CMMs, is maintained to a high standard and calibrated as necessary.
• Responsible for delegation to the Inspection staff the preparation, organisation, tasking and completion of Inspection activities: this will include the completion of all relevant documentation.
• Act as the prime customer interface for the Installation Section.


Skills and Experience required:
• Skilled CMM Inspector.
• Experience of Mitutoyo CMM Measuring
• Experience programming medium/large CMM machines.
• Extensive knowledge of PC-DMIS and CAD++.
• Experience working within a medical/aerospace industry (Desirable).

Role:

Produces products partially or completely, working at a bench or on the shop floor. Operates various types of machines within the blades section e.g. Press Brake, Laser Cutters, Laser Markers, Bead Blasting and powered grinders/sanders to remove burrs, protrusions, etc. The Blade Section Operator will be responsible for visually inspecting their own work.


Key Responsibilities:
• Operate various types of powered grinders/sanders to remove burrs, protrusions, etc on surfaces to ensure parts meet customers’ specifications and production standards.
• Operate various Production machinery to produce consumable medical products e.g. Press Brake, Laser Cutters, Laser Markers.

Role:
The Deburrer will need to be proactive and versatile with good knowledge of his/her craft. They will be working alongside machine operators and inspection department to ensure that machined parts are free from burrs and other issues to meet the very strict parameters of the medical and aerospace industries. The Deburrer will need to perform their responsibilities in a safe and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deburr, finish and polish machined components using various hand held powered tools and finishing materials
• Bring machined components up to a standard / specification to meet customer requirements.
• To ensure products are finished satisfactorily and in line with customer deadlines.
• Using scraper, Dremel, wet and dry paper and polishing material, remove witness of machining marks and finely polish all surfaces to customer specification
• Use bead blasting equipment to finish some parts.
• Experience using hand tools
• Knowledge of different materials
• Ensure tooling/ machinery is kept in good condition
• Work within relative safety regulations
• Keep a safe working environment
Skills and Experience required:
• Previous knowledge of deburring machined parts
• Material knowledge
• Safe and efficient approach to work

• Some honing and/or lapping experience (desirable not essential).

20/04/2018 - Finisher/Assembler

Role:

Finishes and assembles products partially or completely, working at a bench or on the shop floor. Operates various types of air powered grinders and sanders to handcraft parts in order to remove pitting, burrs, protrusions, etc. whilst maintaining specified contours and tolerances. The Finisher/Assembler will hold and/or create correct dimensions of radii, boss size, wall thickness, surface finish, etc. on all parts. Will be able to inspect and rework parts as specified by Quality Assurance Department.


Key Responsibilities:
• Hand-finish cases and structures to remove imperfections and irregularities or finish surfaces and contours so parts meet customers’ specifications and production standards.
• Operate various types of air-powered grinders, sanders, and tools to handcraft parts by removing pitting, burrs, protrusions, etc.
• Maintaining specified contours and tolerances.
• Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies.
• Verifies specifications by measuring completed component.
• Resolves assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications.
• Removes small quantities of metal with hand files and scrapers to produce proper finish or close fit between parts.
• Deburrs parts, including precision deburring with visual aids.
• Ability to work to close tolerances on intricate small assembly work.
• Visual quality inspections.
